This renewal of the Welsh National looks to be as competitive and tight as ever, and many horses will fancy their chances. The horse we like the most is Beware The Bear from the Nicky Henderson yard. He is a young and improving horse who could find his way to Aintree for the Grand National in April with continued improvement, this being a reason why we included him in our racing tips for Welsh National.
He will certainly stay the distance and jumped really well last time out when winning at Chepstow Welsh National. He is the type that will continue to improve throughout the year and he could go all the way to the top eventually. If he is going to do that and run well at Aintree, he needs to be winning this race and although it looks hugely competitive, he looks to have a great chance. With the Henderson team flying right now he is sure to be popular on the day so check out the latest racing odds.
This race should be full of potential stars but the field looks to be a little low on quality if I’m being honest. One horse we do like though is Sussex Ranger from the Gary Moore yard. He has won both of his two hurdle starts so far and looks to be a horse with a bright future. He should go close here and the lack of a huge name really enhances his chances, he looks to be the best horse in the field, that’s why we chose him for our Welsh National horse racing tips.
Elsewhere, there are many young horses who could show improved form here, but right now Sussex Ranger looks the one to beat.
The Fergal O’Brien trained Socksy looks to be a horse to keep on the right side of going forward and she can make it two from two over fences in this race. She won nicely over a trip that was the minimum she needs last time out and the further three furlongs today will really bring out further improvement.
Not only do we like Socksy in this race, but she is one to keep on the right side of going forward, she looks to be a horse who can improve a ton over the next few months and be much better than this current handicap mark. These are our tips for Chepstow today, we really do hope you’ll bet wisely!
