Bayern Munich suffered a confidence shattering 2-1 loss at home to Real Madrid on Wednesday night and in truth the margin of defeat could have easily been greater. It will interesting to see if Bayern Munich decide to rest a cluster of their better players in an attempt to rescue a result from their Champions League tie with Real Madrid, the 2nd leg of which is on Tuesday. The away team’s players will be a little jaded physically and maybe more importantly mentally for their trip to the BayArena. Does that give Bayer 04 Leverkusen a genuine opportunity to cause an upset? Probably not. Bayern Munich’s dominance in the Bundesliga is all consuming, this should still end with an away victory.
