Match Preview - 17:00 Kick-Off at Boris Paichadze National Stadium, Tbilisi

Fresh from a disappointing 1-3 reverse at home to Serbia in Friday’s World Cup Qualification game, Georgia welcome Latvia to Tbilisi for a friendly game. Friendlies often give managers a welcome opportunity to experiment tactically and Vladimir Weiss is expected to ring the changes for Tuesday’s game.

Similarly Latvia coach Marian Pahars will almost certainly use the game against Georgia to give minutes to members of his squad who weren’t involved in Saturday’s away defeat to Switzerland. The Latvians are on a run of 4 straight defeats and will want to stop the rot sooner rather than later.

Georgia haven’t won since their miraculous victory away to Spain last June and they will fancy their chances of ending that 7 match steak on Tuesday night.

Predictions

Georgia gave a decent account of themselves in their 3-1 home defeat to Serbia. The final score line flattered the visitors a little and Georgia will be buoyed by their efforts. In contrast, Latvia were lucky to escape a hammering away to Switzerland. Taking those performances into account, Georgia look good for a victory here.

NetBet have inviting looking odds on Georgia to win with under 3.5 goals in the game - at 5/4, it’s well worth a few quid. Ladbrokes offer decent odds of 2/1 for Georgia to win to nil too. Latvia are terrible in front of goal, so that looks like a safe wager to make.
