Cartmel, Chepstow, Epsom, Newcastle and Ripon Races - Tips for August 29

Jonathan Nixon
Some of the iconic race venues in the United Kingdom like Newcastle and Chepstow are set to resume races this weekend. Horse racing has always enjoyed overwhelming support throughout the world, but it is especially more pronounced in the United Kingdom which has a number of world-class racecourses. Along with the presence of world-class racecourses, it is also not surprising that the UK also has a high concentration of horse racing tips and punters looking to bet online on various races throughout the season.

Cartmel

The likes of Crakehall Lad, Whatdoesthefoxsay, Mixboy, and Fantasy King came out on top in the previous edition of races at the Cartmel racecourse. The venue only hosts the National Hunt races. It has been one of the reasons behind Cartmel races odds being extremely competitive. It is the same situation even now with even experienced punters struggling to judge the best odds. Bet on TRAFALGAR ROCK at 14:20, the horse ridden by jockey Newland. This is a new star as it has a 100% win rate in just two races, but that is great enough to have an idea about what to bet on.

Chepstow

Much of the betting odds related to Chepstow racecourse’ previous round turned out to be right with Diable dʼOr coming out successful in the 2:10. However, most of the other betting tips did not turn out to be right as it has always been the case with Chepstow races odds. The undulating racetrack is unforgiving for punters who will have to research extremely hard before placing bets. Oddsdigger.com offers an opportunity to compare the odds from different bookmakers before placing bets. Bet on BISHOPS CANNINGS at 12:30. The horse ridden by Ellsworth is actually a new one amongst this type of racing whatsoever, but so are the other competitors. It is hard to pick an outright winner, but we'll go for this one.

Epsom

In the form of an elongated horseshoe, Epsom is one of the unique proving grounds for horses. This is a Grade One course that hosts only flat races. Epsom Derby, Epsom Oaks, and Coronation Cup are some of the key races held here. Most of the Epsom races odds are concerned with these three trophies. One of the oldest venues in the United Kingdom, racing here began in the middle of 1600s. Bet on ICKYMASHO at 16:20. The horse ridden by J G Portman has a 29.41% win rate in 17 flat races and is the big favourite in this race. Eton Rambler and Hubertas are other great choices as well.

Newcastle

In the last meeting at one of the iconic venues in the United Kingdom, Devil's Bridge was successful at 1:30. Loveable Helen, Classic Flyer, and Gypsy Major were some of the other successful thoroughbreds, as the focus shifts towards the upcoming weekend of action. Newcastle races odds are especially tough because the venue hosts both flat and National Hunt races at the same time. The notable races at Newcastle racecourse involve males above the age of three. Bet on MEGARA at 14:15. The horse ridden by Sir Mark Prescott has a 22.22% win rate in 9 flat races. HOT SPICE is the most fearful competitor, having a big win rate as well. Our choice is Megara because the jockey is well-experienced.

Ripon

Located in Yorkshire, Ripon racecourse is famous for its big sprint. It is usually run on August on the track which is undulating over the length of a mile and 5 furlongs. The straight alone is 5 furlongs in length and is famous amongst Ripon races odds. Bet on THELLO at 17:35. The jockey is Mr B Lynn and his main competitor is BOLLIHOPE. With a win rate of 21.43%, Thello is a great horse that did well in the last 30 days and we hope to see him win.
