Horse Racing Tips for Jan 15 Fakenham and Kelso Events

Jonathan Nixon

Horse racing betting tips for the events taking place at Fakenham and Kelso on January 15. There may not be plenty of horse racing action on January 15 with only Fakenham and Kelso tracks involved, but it still presents plenty of exciting action for fans. Part of the reason is the immense popularity of these tracks in the UK horse betting scenario.

Fakenham

Fakenham has been involved in the National Hunt scenario since 1905, making it one of the oldest in the world. Undoubtedly, the biggest event at Fakenham would be the Fakenham Silver Cup, which takes place in March as part of the Spring National Hunt meeting. This event is a Class III hurdle which is run over 2 miles.

Horse racing betting fans can focus on a Class III event on January 15, but not the Fakenham Silver Cup. Instead, the ATR Tatterford Handicap Hurdle at 14:20 will be attracting all the attention. Horse racing tips predict victory for such favourites as Lough Derg Leader and Soupy Soups.

The other race which should be exciting is the Helhoughton Handicap Chase at 13:50. A number of horses will come in with a great opportunity to claim a win. With no corresponding event in 2015, it will take a lot of research into the horse racing betting tips to understand that seven-year-old Little Windmill stands a great chance of victory.

Going is good to soft-soft in places.

13:20 - ICONIC SKY won at Fakenham on January 1st after mixed results throughout 2016. Odds are 5/2 for him to win. We actually believe he can do a great job further on since it's clear that his form improved a lot. Poker Play is the second favourite.

14:50 - ALL FOR THE BEST is a 5-year-old bay gelding who won at December 26. Was runner up at Catterick on November 30.

15:20 - MISS OSCAROSE won at Plumpton on December 12. She hasn't raced for 186 days in 2016 and saw mixed results.

Kelso

Regarded as one of the finest courses for jump events, Kelso is located at the Scottish border. Even though it is in a remote location, Kelso attracts a lot of interest from fans and those who bet online. Some of the best racing action at this track takes place in late February. As a precursor to the upcoming events like the Premier Kelso Hurdle, there is an interesting line-up of events on January 15.

The Royal Caledonian Hunt Handicap Chase at 14:40 is a Class II event expected to attract a lot of horse racing odds. On track rated as soft, Ash Park is seen as a potential candidate to succeed. The other event receiving some of the best odds of today will be the Ferneyhill Handicap Hurdle at 14:10. Going is soft.

12:40 - PERFECT PIRATE showed great attitude when realising a very successful debut over hurdles at Towcester. He can follow up with this stiffer test likely to suit. Progress Drive and Quietly are others that should be considered.

13:05 - RED INDIAN won first time up at Ffos Las over hurdles and there was some kind of depth to that race. Dear Sire did great at Sedgefield. He looks sure to be winning races in this sphere. Helmsley Lad also needs to be respected.
