Horse Racing Tips for Doncaster, Lingfield, Kelso, and Newbury Events on Mar 4

Jonathan Nixon

Doncaster, Lingfield, Kelso, Newbury, and Newcastle are some of the top venues hosting horse racing, and subsequently horse racing betting tips, on March 4.

Horse racing on March 4 will be incredibly busy with several historic venues involved with some of the best races of the calendar year. As a result, there is expected to be plenty of bet online action surrounding the events at Doncaster, Kelso, Lingfield, Newcastle, and Newbury.

Doncaster betting tips

Doncaster is one of the oldest racecourses in the world. The first event hosted by this venue was back in 1776. Flying Childers Stakes, Doncaster Cup, Champagne Stakes, and May Hill Stakes are some of the prestigious races that take place at Doncaster. On March 4, horse racing betting interest on Doncaster races will fall upon the Betbright Grimthorpe Handicap Chase at 15:35. This event has a pursue of £34,408 with 13 runners fighting over a distance of 3 miles and 2 furlongs. The Last Samuri has been going through a poor patch of form, but he is expected to come out successful owing to immense experience in such races.

Beyond this Class 2 event, the BetBright Mares' Novices' Hurdle will be interested in the horse betting scenario. This Listed Class 1 event will be run over 3 miles. Catchamat could claim a surprise win ahead of the higher rated Happy Diva.

Going is good to soft-soft in places.

13:50 - LOUGH DERG FARMER was second in Bangor on February 10 and his victory at Doncaster on January 9 proved that he's got huge potential. After the 200-day break, when he moved from D P Murphy to J Henderson, his form increased significantly.

14:25 - CLICK WORK won at Taunton on January 27, at Doncaster on December 29, and was third in early December. The 5-year-old bay gelding goes against AVIDITY, his main rival.

17:20 - Our bet is on DAME ROSE. The 4-year-old bay filly won at Doncaster on January 28 and shows a great form. Her main rival is Brecon Hill, a 4-year-old bay gelding who won two weeks ago at Catterick.

Kelso betting tips

Located on the Scottish border, Kelso is one of the premier racetracks in the United Kingdom. Even though it is primarily known for its winter events, there is tremendous interest throughout the year – as seen on the March 4 events. The Totepoolliveinfo.com Premier Chase is the only Class 1 event at Kelso today. Wakanda appears best placed for success, and he has received the best horse racing odds for success in this event. Offering an even bigger pursue and taking even bigger presence amongst the odds is the totescoop6 Premier Kelso Novices' Hurdle, a Grade 2 race. Capitaine is a runner with the best overall rating and a greater chance of success. Mount Mews may possess recent form, but the lack of experience in the top events puts him at a disadvantage.

Going is soft-heavy in places.

14:15 - TOP VILLE BEN won at Towcester on February 2, at Leicester on January 12, and at Ludlow on December 21. The 5-year-old bay gelding is showing a stunning form and is basically the best choice here.

15:25 - MOUNT MEW's victory at Doncaster on January 27 shows how much he improved as of late. Before that, he was second at Wetherby on January 14 and won at Kelso on December 4. Reivers Lad is his main rival in this Class 1 race.

Lingfield betting tips

Lingfield is immensely popular in the UK horse racing scenario owing to a track which is suitable for all forms of races – National Hunt to flat all-weather. The 32Red Spring Cup Stakes is the best event at Lingfield on March 4. This is a Listed Class 1 event offering the highest pursue of any Lingfield race today – £25,520. The 11 runners will compete over the extremely short 7-furlong distance. Second Thought is a favourite to win the race as per horse racing tips.

Going is standard. Low numbers are best in races up to a mile.

14:35 - MY TARGET won at Lingfield on February 11, and before that on January 14 at the same racecourse. He has two other victories in late 2016 here, plus two disappointments at Chelmsford City, but he's definitely the best choice possible. Abareeq deserves some respect.

16:20 - FAMILY FORTUNES won at Lingfield on February 25. The 3-year-chestnut gelding boasts enormous potential, but Dark Destroyer and High Acclaim are really dangerous.

Newbury betting tips

Newbury offers an incredible selection of horse races throughout the calendar year. Most of the events at this venue provide high pursues due to their higher classes. Newbury races on March 4 will be dominated by the William Hill 'High 5' Supporting Greatwood Gold Cup Handicap Chase. This is a 14 runner event which will take place on a track rated between good to soft. Vibrato Valtat comes into the race after having won five of the 20 Class 1 events he has taken part. As a result, some of the best odds concerning this event will focus on this eight-year-old.

Going is good to soft-soft in places (chase) and soft-good to soft in places (hurdle).

16:25 - GALA BALL won at Exeter on February 12. The 7-year-old bay gelding was third at Warwick on December 31, and second at Bangor on December 9. 2016 was also a stunning year for him, with three consecutive victories and plenty of runner-ups. Bivouac is his main rival.

17:00 - In a race full of maidens, we'll go for I KNOW U TOO WELL, a 5-year-old bay gelding with a recent victory at Ffos Las (in mid-December).

Newcastle betting tips

Compared with the whole host of Grade 2 and Grade 3 events on March 4, the races at Newcastle seem subdued. Even then, this venue is host to some of the greatest races in the UK horse racing calendar. Newcastle’s history goes back to 1886, but recent revamp to the track has added modern amenities like an all-weather track. The Sunbets.co.uk Handicap will be an event to follow in the horse racing betting tips. Barwah and Testa Rossa are seen as candidates for a win.

Going is standard. No data available for the All-Weather track.

17:45 - TRICORN won at Wolverhampton on February 17. The 3-year-old bay colt was also second at Kempton on February 3. Faience is his main rival.

18:15 - VEENA won at Chelmsford City on February 23, at Newcastle on February 4, and seems to be the best choice in this race. Poppy In The Wind is her main rival.
