Horse Racing Tips for Chelmsford, Lingfield, Sedgefield, and Stratford Oct 27

Jonathan Nixon

Chelmsford, Lingfield, Sedgefield, and Stratford are the courses involved in horse racing as part of October 27 events.

Horse racing action on October 27 is expected to be brilliant due to the involvement of Chelmsford, Lingfield, Sedgefield, and Stratford amongst other courses. Horse racing today also takes place at Irish course Clonmel, which will be hosting one of the first few races of the day.

Chelmsford

After hosting some important races only a few days ago, Chelmsford is once again, back in action on October 27 with its course rated as standard. The entrance of top horses means competitive action on the course and on the horse racing betting scenario; it will be the order of the day during Bet Totetrifecta At Betfred.com Handicap at 19:40. Horses like King Cole and Burning Thread our favourites for the event.

Going is standard. No data available regarding draw advantage.

VERDICT - 19:10 - BAZAAT had a stunning period recently. He won at Kempton on October 18, at Kempton on October 12 and at Chelmsford City on September 29. Was 3rd at Brighton on September 5 and 12. These results are stunning for the 3-year-old chestnut gelding. Mayfield Boy may be his main contender here.

Lingfield

The only racecourse that can host flat, National Hunt, and flat all-weather races, Lingfield takes priority amongst the bookmakers and the best odds from across the United Kingdom. It has been a popular venue since its opening in 1890. The standard of the races taking place at Lingfield become apparent when looking at the competition especially at the 32Red EBF Stallions Fleur De Lys Fillies' Stakes event on October 27. Horse racing betting tips predict that Mise En Rose will be a favourite at 11/4 while Muffri'Ha comes a close second with odds of 7/2.

Going is standard. Low numbers are usually better in races up to a mile.

VERDICT - 15:10 - BATTLEMENT returned to running on October 1 at Ascot and was 3rd out of 15. Before the 55-day break, he was runner-up at Windsor in early August and won at Kempton and Newmarket in June and July.

Overall great year and extremely promising.

Sedgefield

Sedgefield primarily hosts jump races and the Durham National Handicap Chase, which is now held in August, is the highlight event at this track. On October 27, some of the top events are the brianellisonracing.co.uk Chase at 14:00 and Meldrum Construction Handicap Hurdle at 15:35. Point The Way and Australasia will be one of the top favourites for the latter in the bet online odds. The clear pick of the day, however, will be the Racing App Sedgefielders Durham National Handicap Chase at 16:10.

Going is good to soft-good in places.

VERDICT - 14:30 - DERINTOHER YANK is a 5-year-old bay gelding trained by D Mccain Jr who won at Carlisle on October 13. Was 2nd out of 6 runners at Kelso on September 14. Had decent results earlier this year and is promising much. Newsworthy deserves some respect.

Stratford

The chase course at Stratford is one of the most iconic in the United Kingdom having been hosting races for almost 3 centuries. The highlight event, according to horse racing tips, would be the British Stallion Studs Ebf 'national Hunt' Novices' Hurdle at 15:25.

Going is good to soft-soft in places (chase) and good-good to soft in places (hurdle).

VERDICT - ONE FOR THE BOSS returns to running after a longer break. Was 2nd out of 12 runners at Uttoxeter on July 24, and won two consecutive races in June - at Newton Abbot and Stratford. The biggest danger here is SERGEANT MATTIE, which had impressive results lately. Class 3 race, quite risky.
