Betting Tips for Horse Racing Oct 11 at Huntingdon, Leicester, Musselburgh, and Wolverhampton

Jonathan Nixon

Huntingdon, Leicester, Musselburgh, and Wolverhampton are the main courses to be involved in horse racing action on October 11.

Racing is a favourite pastime for some, but it is a serious sport for many. One of the best forms of racing has to be horse racing, which has been around for centuries. Horse racing today in the United Kingdom, though, will take place at courses like Huntingdon, Leicester, Musselburgh, and Wolverhampton.

Huntingdon

Known for its jumping races, Huntingdon racecourse has notable events like the Sidney Banks Memorial Novices' Hurdle in February and Peterborough Chase in December. Both these events are taking place anytime soon and horse racing betting will instead turn its attention to events like the Ingrebourne Valley Handicap Chase and Tribute Cornish Pale Ale Handicap Hurdle. Huntingdon has always been regarded as a course that favours speed more than stamina, and it is unlikely to change for the October 11 events.

Going is good.

15:35 - DEFINITIVE FUTURE is the best shape possible. He won at Huntingdon on October 2nd, at Uttoxeter on September 2nd and had a few great results in June and July as well.

16:35 - SUFFICE won on October 2nd at Huntingdon and on August 21st at Worcester. Deserves some respect.

Leicester

Leicester racecourse is a dual course which host both flat and jump races. As a result, there are events at this course throughout the year. The events at Leicester course on October 11 include highly competitive races like the Wreake Handicap. Can't Change It is backed quite heavily at 9/4 for a victory, while Accession is closely following in second place with odds of 11/4 according to the best odds. SIS Autumn Sprint Handicap is the next top event and Dougan is the overwhelming favourite at odds of 5/2.

Going: straight - good to firm; round - good-good to firm in places. Low numbers are better on the straight course.

14:10 - AZAM: 260,000 gns half-brother to 1¼m/10.4f winner Playful Sound. Made a great start in Newmarket maiden in September (1 mile), would be unlucky not to complete this race closer than 4th. Big shout.

14:40 - INFINITI: Great efforts in C&D events the last twice, and would be unlucky to bump into runners who were completing a hattrick in a handicap last time.

Musselburgh

The majority of the horse racing events on October 11 take place at Musselburgh, which is expected to have cloudy weather. Horse racing tips for the Breeders Backing Racing Flying Scotsman EBF Conditions Stakes event backs Kimberella at 9/4 with Strath Burn a close second favourite at odds of 11/4. Steeped in history, this Scottish racecourse also hosts seven other events on this day. Musselburgh has been hosting races for more than two centuries now.

Going is good to firm-good in places. In races up to 1m, low numbers are an advantage.

13:40 - LAMLOOM. Lots to like on paper and shaped better the bare result when 6th off 11 at Ayr in September (7.2f, soft). He's the one to consider here. He is marginally preferred to Mr Coco Bean (who also had a promising start at Newcastle).

Wolverhampton

Horse racing betting tips predict that NTM Germany Nursery is likely to be the pick of events at Wolverhampton course. An event only for two-year-old thoroughbreds, this event is likely to be won by Mr Black according to bet online odds. Mr Black is backed at a short 10/3 but competitors like Coolfitch are backed at a long 4/1.

Going is standard, no draw advantage.

19:15 - MR BLACK: There is definitely more to come from him, as he opened his account in style at Kempton and we're confident that he will continue the great work going into handicaps now. Prancelina scored over C&D last month and needs some respect, while Coolfitch saw a productive campaign lately.
