Ayr, Sedgefield, Southwell, Wolverhampton - Horse Racing Tips for September 27

Jonathan Nixon

The conditions coupled with competition mean that Wolverhampton and Ayr could host some of the toughest events on September 27.

Racecourses in the United Kingdom are famous for their history and quality. It is not surprising that the most horse racing today action takes place at the likes of Ayr, Sedgefield, Southwell, and Wolverhampton courses. These courses are steeped in history and they also have excellent tracks to aid in top quality racing.

Ayr

Hosting the first event of the September 27 action, Ayr has seven other events lined up for the rest of the day. Handicap and racinguk.com Handicap are expected to be two of the most popular events – according to betting tips – on this day largely because of the competition that is expected to take part. The track being soft to heavy could dampen the likelihood of fast times.

Going is heavy-soft in places. Low numbers are usually favoured in all races up to 7f.

Bet on VAN GERWEN at 14:10. Consistent since switched to handicaps. Looked incredible when making all at Pontefract (5f, good to soft) quite recently. Claims at following up under a penalty.

15:50 - TANAWAR should be considered. Scored twice off high marks in 2015. Last time at Carlisle he did a good job and now drops to class 6 for the first time in this season.

Sedgefield

September 27 action sees Sedgefield racecourse taking the role of hosting long events, which are especially popular amongst horse racing tips. There are no events for the younger horses, as the likes of Amco Rail Handicap Hurdle and Shepley Handicap Chase are only meant for four-year-old plus horses. The track being good-good to the firm is likely to help action quite significantly. Jumping may be the highlight of action at Sedgefield but that does not mean that the course is a slouch when it comes to flat races.

Going is good-good to firm in places.

Bet on CANTON PRINCE at 14:30. He last won at Worcester on September 23rd. He also won at Fontwell on September 4th. ALYASAN is not in a great shape and it's basically the best choice here.

Southwell

Southwell may have only six events lined up for September 27, but that is unlikely to be a deterring factor in the horse racing betting scenario with events like Download The At The Races App Handicap Chase and Play Golf At Southwell Club Handicap Chase expected to be popular. It is one of the few tracks rated as good for the events on September 27. This is likely to help bet online punters witness a lot of opportunities.

Going is good.

Bet on DOITFORJOE at 15:30. He last won at Southwell on August 31st and was 2nd out of 7 and 8 runners at Worcester, respectively.

Wolverhampton

Even though it may have the burden of hosting eight events, Wolverhampton racecourse is more than well-equipped to provide top racing action. This would, in turn, lead to some of the best odds available on September 27 regarding horse racing. The fclgf.com Handicap event, which offers a prize money of £5175, at 20:10 is likely to be the most popular amongst punters.

Going is standard. There is no advantage in the draw.

18:10. LUANG PRABANG. She's a promising type. Career best when winning an 11-runner handicap at this C&D 11 days ago, keeping on very well. There's more to come and the 4lb rise does not look enough to stop her.
