This year the first stage of the Final Serious will take place at the Regnum Carya Golf & Spa Resort. It is going to be a new course so we do not know a course form to go on but we can look at the layout to define who it might suit. No doubts that we’ll have a premium on accurate driving. Due to the fact that rough is heavy enough and had the tree-lined nature, a solid tree to green game is preferable to succeed. As the course is not overly lengthy, we will have a number of low scores out there.

The Favourites

Bernd Wiesberger and Andy Sullivan are among the favourites. Although the Austrian showed some good results recently, we do not consider a bet 12/1 as a good one. Sullivan has a better bet at the odds thanks to his performance in Portugal where he defended his title. So, we are not going to put you off if your choice is the Englishman. As to Tyrrell Hatton, he can boast only about one win, although he is showing not a bad performance lately. But with the bets offered, there are some other candidates worth betting.

Worthy Candidates

This year was a rather successful for Andrew Johnston and it will be great to complete it with one more success. He secured his PGA tour card for 2016-2017. His win at Valderrame proved that Johnston has a game, though this course was rather tight and considered the most brutal. To score this week, Andrew should show the same game.

One more player also demonstrated very solid golf recently and he can manage to score at a more classical layout. Tommy Fleetwood did not finish out of the top at the KLM, British Masters Italian Open, Alfred Dunhill and European Open and was only 37 in Portugal because a wide expansive layout is not a perfect course for him. But we believe that he is well equipped for the Regnum course.

The last of the candidates is Lucas Bjerregaard. He is worth a spectacular play at impressive odds. He prefers the more classical layout and he showed this in Germany, Italy and Hong Kong. Lucas appeared in the top 15 at Portugal and this can be a sign that he is in a good form if the track suits him.
