Napoli have lost just one of their last 23 league games heading into this weekend, but Maurizio Sarri’s men still find themselves one point behind second-placed Roma in Serie A.
The Partenopei are in need of wins to keep the pressure on their rivals for an automatic place in next season’s Champions League, with Cagliari tending to fare better at home in the league.
- Lazio 0-3 Napoli
- Napoli 3-0 Udinese
- Sassuolo 2-2 Napoli
- Inter 0-1 Napoli
The home side have only lost two home games in Serie A since August 2015, with Cagliari having a tough test on their hands if they are to make it three.
The visitors have won three out of their last five matches, but their away form has been very patchy indeed. Recent wins on the road against struggling Crotone and Palermo may have helped their confidence, however.
- Cagliari 2-3 Torino
- Cagliari 4-0 Chievo
- Udinese 2-1 Cagliari
- Cagliari 1-0 Pescara
Napoli are without Kalidou Koulibaly for their upcoming game, but otherwise, Sarri should have a full complement to choose from. Cagliari, meanwhile, have five injury absentees.
The hosts are excellent at Stadio San Paolo and should be confident that they can smash Cagliari to keep up their pace in the race for a second-placed Serie A finish.
