Bayern Munich are cruising towards another Bundesliga championship title but their recent results have been disappointing. Bayern Munich were controversially thrown out of the Champions League by Real Madrid in the quarter-finals and failed to win their last two Bundesliga fixtures against Leverkusen and Mainz, nearly losing on both occasions. Wolfsburg unexpectedly find themselves in relegation battle and desperately need points in 14th place. Coach Andries Jonker, who worked at Bayern Munich in the past, is meeting them as a rival for the first time, and Wolfsburg star striker Mario Gomez would love to score against his former club as well.

Wolfsburg are much more desperate for points at this stage of the season, while Bayern Munich are too tired and too distracted by other competitions, and that makes the odds on the away win simply not worth looking at. It is much more logical to look for higher odds and expect a high scoring game.
