Fulham vs Arsenal Prediction and Betting Tips

Sam Rogers

ARSENAL will look to take another step towards securing what would be their first Premier League title since 2004 when they make the short trip to face London neighbours Fulham on Sunday afternoon.

The Gunners were made to sweat for a precious three points when playing host to relegation-threatened Bournemouth last weekend as they had to stage a stunning second-half comeback to clinch a 3-2 win in the 97th minute.

That last-gasp victory means Mikel Arteta's men remain five points clear of Manchester City with 13 rounds of fixtures left to play.

With the Citizens set to face Crystal Palace on Saturday evening, Arsenal will look to keep up their end of the bargain by putting another three points on the board at the expense of Fulham.

The seventh-placed Cottagers have performed well above expectations in their latest Premier campaign after their promotion from the Championship last term.

Marco Silva's men did suffer defeat last time out as they were on the wrong end of a 3-2 reverse at Brentford on Monday, on a night where both of my west London wagers landed.

Outright Betting

Despite avoiding defeat in 10 of their 13 Premier League home games this season, Fulham head into this all-London affair as 5/1 (PaddyPower) underdogs while the draw is also deemed unlikely at 31/10 (SBK).

Arsenal, who have won each of their last four league games, make the short trip across the city as 3/5 favourites with Bet 365.

Betting Angles

I successfully backed Both Teams to Score in Fulham's aforementioned loss at Brentford last time out and I'm more than happy to side with the same selection here at 49/50 (UniBet).

The Cottagers have been entertaining Premier League crowds up and down the country all season, with both teams obliging in a league-high 16 of their 26 outings thus far.

What's more, Marco Silva's men have made the net bulge in all but five of their 26 top-flight tussles this term so far and they are certainly capable of carving out opportunities when faced with an Arsenal rearguard which has been creaking recently.

Mikel Arteta's men have posted just two clean sheets across their last eight Premier League contests, conceding multiple goals in four matches from that sample, so they could struggle to keep forward-thinking Fulham at bay.

The Gunners chief has plenty of attacking talent to call on at the other end of the park though, with the league leaders only failing to score in two of their 26 league outings to date.

With that in mind, coupled with the fact the BTTS copped in August's reverse fixture between the pair, siding with the same selection at Craven Cottage on Sunday stands out at 49/50 (UniBet).

Given that he has established himself as Arsenal's talisman this season, I'll also take Bukayo Saka to either Score or Assist at 10/11 with PaddyPower.

The Gunners winger has either notched or provided in 19 of his 26 top-flight appearances this term and he looks worthy of interest to add to that tally by the banks of the Thames this weekend.

This English Premier League match between Fulham and Arsenal will be played on Mar 12, 2023 and kick off at 14:00.
