Match Preview – 15:00 Kick-Off at The Riverside Stadium, Middlesbrough

With no wins in 13 Premier League games, Middlesbrough are in freefall and look set to tumble all the way back down to the Championship after just 1 season in the top flight. Despite recently sacking manager Aitor Karanka, things on the pitch haven’t improved and Boro’s midweek 4-2 hammering at relegation rivals Hull City feels like a watershed moment.

Burnley’s midweek victory over Stoke City was their first win in 9 Premier League games. That vital 3 points all but secures Premier League survival for Sean Dyche whose side’s home form has carried them all season. Burnley are the only side yet to win a Premier League game away from home in 2016/17, in fact, they have lost all but 3 of those games on the road.

In the reverse fixture between the sides an 80th minute Andre Gray goals was enough to give Burnley the win at Turf Moor. That low scoring result came as no surprise, in 8 of the last 9 fixtures between the pair there have been under 2.5 goals. Middlesbrough are the lowest scoring Premier League side this season with 22 goals. To see our Middlesbrough v Burnley betting tips, continue reading below.

Middlesbrough V Burnley Predictions

Saturday’s game at the Riverside Stadium is expected to be a cagey affair. Middlesbrough have scored just 12 goals at home all season, Burnley just 9 away goals – it’s safe to say the weekend’s game probably won’t have fans on the edge of their seats. Middlesbrough’s players have looked a beaten bunch lately, but I think they should be able to salvage a draw from this and Burnley would take a point now if offered.

Based on the information above, Bet365’s odds of 13/5 for the game to finish as a draw with under 2.5 goals looks a great option to take. Nothing else really stands out in the markets for what should be a fairly incident-less game between 2 of the Premier League’s least exciting outfits.
