Chelsea vs Middlesbrough Preview, Prediction and Betting Tips: Chelsea to keep rolling towards the title against Middlesbrough

EVENT ENDED!

Chelsea are creeping ever-closer to securing the Premier League title, with Boro unlikely to be able to help put the champagne on ice for a little longer.

Match Preview

The hosts have dropped just six points at Stamford Bridge all season in the league, but the visitors might take some heart from Crystal Palace’s recent 2-1 away win against Antonio Conte’s men.

    - Bournemouth 1-3 Chelsea

    - Man United 2-0 Chelsea

    - Chelsea 4-2 Southampton

    - Everton 0-3 Chelsea

The Blues sidestepped a banana skin last time out against Everton, with Ronald Koeman’s Toffees proving to be no challenge for them in a 3-0 routine victory.

Interestingly, however, Chelsea haven’t kept a clean sheet at home in the league since January, with there definitely the potential for Boro to try and strike on the counter attack.

    - Boro 1-2 Arsenal

    - Bournemouth 4-0 Boro

    - Boro 1-0 Sunderland

    - Boro 2-2 Man City

Chelsea vs Middlesbrough Prediction and Betting Advice

David Luiz is the hosts’ only injury doubt ahead of the Monday night match, with both Victor Valdes and Daniel Ayala carrying minor injuries for the visitors. Steve Agnew will need the duo fit.

Chelsea’s defensive record at Stamford Bridge of late could coax some entertainment out of this game, especially with Boro managing to score twice against Man City last time out.
