Premier League Overview: Liverpool and Chelsea!

There are some favourites for the title in this Premier League Season, and the 10/1 teams, which are six, by the way, make this 2016 season one of the most thrilling events ever, and even more so when you consider that this year the defending champions aren’t even included in those six favourites.

Klopp made more impact at Liverpool during last season, but the danger seems to be the Firmino and Coutinho combo, especially if you join Mane into the mix.

Daniel Sturridge May Be The Key: Liverpool as a Contender.

Matip is the Reds beat to hold the line, but there are still some problems left to be addressed on the midfield, as well as the little fact that the team’s top striker only netted his team ten goals. We think Daniel Sturridge’s form is pretty vital to make the team a contender.

We deem that Liverpool is being underestimated when you consider the Spurs have the same price, as we think this second team has less quality that the ones sitting currently at 10/1.

Arsenal May Be a Better Choice: Chelsea as a Contender.

Chelsea, like Liverpool, also raises a bunch of question marks, being dependent on the performance of Hazard and Willian, who could be the only ones who separate the team from striking at the title or fall, depending on how they perform.

Honestly speaking, Arsenal seems like a safer bet here as the price is the same and we think their defence is better.

Arsenal has a lot of quality, like Wilshere, Ramsey, and Cazorla, and we think they may have the best Midfield section of the Premier League especially considering Xhaka, their new signing.

The number is now 6/1 for Arsenal, a price that seems attractive even as a cover bet and even considering Mertesacker’s injury.

Manchester City and Old Age: Something to Consider!

Manchester City has a team that looks past its prime, with a lot of ageing showing. They are effectively one of the oldest squads in the league and fitness levels are plummeting.

Toure, for instance, is 33, Fernandinho is 31 and Navas and Silva sit at 30.

Sterling has been in bad shape lately, and we think De Bruyne will bear most of the pressure on his shoulders.

Guardiola seems to be in trouble this season.

This is definitely food for thought, but we hope this short overview has given you some info and stats to think about before you start planning your bets as there are some interesting prices this year.
