The West Indies will be hoping that they’re back to business as normal after losing the first game of the series before bouncing back to level last time out. Afghanistan did not manage to dominate the first ODI but were pegged back in the second so they will be hoping they can produce a similar performance in the first game of the series and take a historic series victory against a Test-playing nation.

West Indies vs Afghanistan prediction

The West Indies have suffered somewhat of a fall from grace in limited overs cricket since winning the World T20 not long ago. They have not qualified for the Champion’s Trophy this year, a tournament they won in 2007, to then lose to lowly Afghanistan in a One-Day International. West Indies had no way to cope with leg-spinner Rashid Khan in the first match, the 18-year-old taking 7-18 to see his side home. He took 3-26 in the second match but the West Indies managed to hold on. It will be of key importance to the West Indies how well they cope with the spin of Khan on what will be a worn pitch at Gros Islet.

Rashid Khan top Afghanistan bowler – 2.75

Shai Hope top Windies batsman – 5.00
