Shredded Hollywood actor Jake Gyllenhaal stuns at UFC 285 weigh in

There’s nothing like Hollywood magic to steal the show — as the weigh in for UFC 285 headlined by Jon Jones’ fight against Cyril Gane at heavyweight.

While Jones is arguably the greatest fighter to grace the octagon with a 26-1-0 (1 NC) record including a record 14 title defences, there’s no doubt his fight with Gane will be the main event come Sunday (Australian time).

But the weigh in was a sideshow as UFC fans in Vegas got to be part of the remake of cult classic Road House.

The film, first made in 1989, starred Patrick Swayze as a cooler or bouncer at a roadside bar who goes to war with an evil businessman.

But the 2023 version is set to reimagine the story with a former UFC fighter, played by Jake Gyllenhaal, taking the main role in the film.

And the UFC wanted to be part of it.

Gyllanhaal, who plays Elwood Dalton, left fans stunned as the Hollywood star weighed in for the fictional middleweight title bout against champion Jax Harris, cut an absolutely shredded figure.

Gyllenhaal and his co-star UFC veteran Jay Hieron faced off, and it ended with the star slapping his rival.

Gyllenhaal as Dalton spoke to Jon Anik and said: “I can’t believe I trained six weeks for this s**t, to fight this piece of s**t. Just give me the belt now. C’mon motherf**ker, let’s go.”

The second take saw a slightly different take.

Gyllenhaal wasn’t the only one to gatecrash the UFC weigh in with Conor McGregor taking the mic on stage.

“Who’s ready for tomorrow night?” McGregor began. “We have the biggest fight in Road House history, Harris vs. Dalton, UFC 222. Everyone in this arena you’re about to be part of my movie.”

McGregor will be in Road House and believed to be in the main henchman of the film’s main villain.

But while McGregor was there, the buff Hollywood actor stole the show.

US author Shea Serrano wrote: “no version of ROAD HOUSE will ever be better than swayze’s but “Jake Gyllenhaal” is the one name you could’ve said to me for the role where i’d be like “okay patch him through i’ll at least take the call”.

Fansided’s Amy Kaplan added: “Jake Gyllenhaal is SHREDDED you guys.”

Billy Tubes, the Pat McAfee Show’s YouTube guy, wrote: “I want to be Jake Gyllenhaal when i grow up.”

MMA Fighting’s Shaheen Al-Shatti said: “I want whatever designer PEDs Jake Gyllenhaal is on. Sheesh.”
