Rallye Deutschland - Key Information for Bettors

A truly pictureesque event on the World Rally Championship calendar, the German Rallye takes place on the vineyard roads just near Trier. The German event had proven a tremendous challenge for the Volkswagen team in the past, yet in 2015 they broke their run of extremely bad luck to win with a 1-2-3 lead by Sebastian Ogier. History

The first event was held in 1982 and it was hosted in Frankfurt. The current location - Trier - has been introduced in 2000 and has seen the ADAC Rallye Deutschland go from a simple race in the German and European championships to an iconic race that's been in the World Rally Championship calendar since 2002.

Since it was introduced in the World Championship, the race organisers opted for a split when it came to locations: rally headquarters, media center as well as the parc were placed in the city of Trier, while the start and finish ceremony were also held in Trier, but in front of the marvelous Porta Nigra.

Starting with the 2007 edition, the architecture was slightly modified - the media center along with the service park were moved from Bostalsee to the convention grounds, offering superior infrastructure and easier access. The 2007 layout received much praise. That year, the event saw more than 200,000 spectators.

Who Won in the Previous Years?

The 2013 winner of the ADAC Rallye Deutschland was Dani Sordo, while the 2014 winner was Thierry Neuville. Last year's event was won by Sebastian Ogier of Volkswagen.

Sebastien Loeb took his 8th consecutive win in the 2010 season, a World Rally Championship record for wins in a single event.
