If you are looking for places to be this summer, do not forget that the Horse Racing season in England has already begun! Monday, 18th July is going to be one of the hottest days in July, with exciting races happening in Ayr, Beverley, Cartmel, and Windsor. All in all, this season promises to be quite impressive. So, anyone will have a chance to choose a racetrack to one’s liking, pick a favourite, and — who knows? Maybe even win some money in the process.
The Ayr races will start with a major handicap event with 15 runners on a 6-feet distance. Open to 3+-year-old horses rated 56-75, this race on the soft turf track is promising to be quite interesting. One of the top, most favoured horses in this race are Goninodaethat, Jay Kay, and Dark Crystal.
On 18th July 2016, Beverly racetrack will host a Rio Rio Carnival event. This is going to be another handicap race, class 6, for 3-year old horses only. A lesser, but still impressive Beverly races event start at 18.00. This event is reserved for 2-year old horses. The audience’s favourites include Bronze Beau, Flicka's Boy, and Burtonwood.
On the 18th July, Cartmel will hold Cumbria Crystal Hurdle Race, the biggest race of the year with 26,000 pounds at stake. Cartmel races is definitely the place to be on a Monday night, especially given that Goldan Jess, a seven-time winner and a public’s favourite, has already entered the lists.
Finally, do not forget about the Royal Windsor Racetrack. Perhaps, the only race next Monday that will occur on a good to firm turf track (as opposed to soft to good track in Ayr, Beverley, and Cartmel), Windsor races are promising to be quite a show.
All in all, the wisest strategy would be to place your bets on one of the proven favourites — in all of the races described above. However, do not forget that the more certain the odds, the lower the winnings. So, keep your eye on the favourites, but remember that looking for the best odds is not always the wisest strategy.
Even if you do not plan to attend any of those events yourself, there is always a chance to try your luck online. A number of UK and European casinos will gladly take even the tiniest of your bets — so, you can always start small. Next, a lot of platforms offer a first bonus bet (usually no more than 10 pounds), so if you are not sure about wagering ‘real’ money, this could be a nice start.
