Speedway world cup 2016: Sweden Event 1 is on its way!

Speedway World Cup is a major racing event that is held annually, in different countries. Founded in 2001, the club was basically a merger between currently non-existent World Team Cup and World Paris Championship. Over the past 16 years, this major motor racing speedway has already gained millions of fans all over the globe.

This summer, Speedway World Cup 2016 takes places in Denmark, and, as always, promises to be quite a show! In fact, the first event of the year is already upon us — next Saturday, July 23rd, Denmark, Poland, Russia, and the Czech Republic will compete for a shot at entering the final race of the season.

Regular champions over the history of the cup

So far, Poland holds six titles — more than any other country that ever entered the competition lists. However, the latest champion is Sweden — after winning two years in a row (2004 and 2004), Sweden managed to reclaim the title in 2015. Denmark, hosting of the first race of the Cup in Vojens, is a bit ahead its neighbour — in the last fifteen years, it held four cups — in 2006, 2008, 2012, and 2014. Australia is another ‘double’ champion — it won first two cups in a row back in 2001 and 2002.

Betting tips

Obviously, it looks like betting on Poland - six-time champion is the safest course. However, you should never forget that the best odds are not always the safest ones — when it comes to gambling at the very least. After all, the more people bet on a certain winner, the less money each gambler will get — that is just pure Math.

On the other hand, choosing the safest course can be a good idea, too. In fact, if you look at the odds, it seems like the audience has chosen its favourites. So far, there is a draw between three drivers: Jarosław Hampel (Poland), Maciej Janowski (Poland), and Niels K. Iversen (Denmark) — all three with an equal (11) rating from the Speedway Explorer. Nicki Pedersen (Denmark) is a bit behind, with a 9-ratio.

Given the history of the speedway gp, looks like the audience is following some pretty basic knowledge behind picking their favourites. But, of course, the trends may change, so if you want to know all there is to know about Speedway updates, you better keep an eye on the flimsy trends — they might change drastically, in just a couple of hours.

And finally, remember that you do not have to attend Speedway Denmark personally to win some money. You can place your bet practically in any European online casino, and get the free odds and tips to help you choose your favourite right here!
