Pegasus World Cup Betting Tips Expecting the Best Horse Race Yet

Jonathan Nixon

Pegasus World Cup prepares to become the richest horse race amidst a sea of bet online interest from worldwide.

The Dubai World Cup has held its crown as the richest horse racing event in the world for almost a decade. Yet, it is about to concede its title to the Pegasus World Cup. This is the much anticipated – quite clear from the Pegasus World Cup 2017 odds – thoroughbred horse race which will be held in Miami, Florida. As an event that is about to be inaugurated, the Pegasus World Cup has no history but it has straightaway become a huge talking point in the world of horse racing.

The interest has straightaway apparent from the long list of Pegasus World Cup predictions available just in the last few months.

The event has a $12 million pursue making it the richest ahead of the Dubai World Cup, which has had a pursue of $10 million since 2010. The event will be run over a distance of 9 furlongs on a dirt track. Only four-year-old horses and above will be able to take part in the event which attracts a lot of horse racing betting tips already.

Origins

The first proposal of the race came from Frank Stronach, who owns the Stronach Group which has race tracks in the United States aside from a lot of interest in horse racing entertainment. The proposal was for a 10 furlong event that would be run in late January so as to not clash with both the Dubai World Cup or the Breeders’ Cup. The first plans for the race was put forward in May 2016 and bet online interest has grown since then.

Format

A total of 12 starters will line up in the race with each entrant having to come with $1 million in order to secure a starting spot. Once the entrance spot has been secured, the entrant has the right to do everything from raising, leasing, sharing, or even selling the spot. Furthermore, the net income from the race would be shared equally with the entrants. These entrants can also come in with two horses. The horse that enters into the competition for the Pegasus World Cup will not be able to compete in the recently formed Poseidon Stakes. This would allow the best odds to focus on one horse on each event.

Contestants

Just a week after the formation, all 12 slots for the race were purchased. Now, Juddmonte Farms, Reddam Racing, and California Chrome LLC are some of the bringing out horses ranked highly by the Pegasus World Cup betting tips for this event.

Who is Most Likely to Win?

Shaman Ghost - Owned by Frank Stronach, we believe this horse i actually one who can finish near the top two. The son of Ghostzapper can have his best season yet in 2017. He actually broke his maiden at Gulfstream and is already the winner of the Brooklyn, Woodward, and Queen's Plate. Missed the Breeders' Cup, yet ran a quite decent third at Clark in Grade 1.

Keen Ice - He actually knows about winning a race for 3rd, as he did that at Breeders' Cup Classic on Nov 5, cashing a great check for that immense effort. He's had enough prep as of late and we beliee he's better at 10 furlongs, rather than at the 9 of the Pegasus. He merits respect as being of the classiest runners, and he's most likely to grab a third place.

Eragon - This one is a true mystery runner in basically every sense of the word. Coming from Argentina, it has got a great resume. We believe he's not the only one to come from South America and earn something unique, but he does have a chance.

Neolithic - He is a truly improving sort, as a son of Harlans Holiday. He actually beat local allowance horses by 9 lenghts in great time and this makes us believe he is coming to the Pegasus World Cup in his best form possible. A must watch, even though anything better than 3rd place would be truly shocking for bettors.

Arrogate - The star of the Pegasus World Cup has been mentioned in an interview by trainer Bob Baffert on January 17. He is "right on schedule" for the $12 mil. event and we will definitely witness a rematch with California Chrome. Arrogate hasn't raced since staggeringly beating California Chrome in November @ Breeders' Cup Classic, and was withdrawn from the intended prep rup at San Pasqual Stakes in early January because of a wet track. Definitely a must watch.
