Horse Racing Betting Tips for Fakenham and Southwell Races on Jan 26

Jonathan Nixon

Fakenham, Southwell, Warwick, and Wolverhampton are the venues hosting horse races on January 26 and thus promoting plenty of horse betting interest.

Fakenham, Southwell, Warwick, and Wolverhampton are some of the racing venues involved on January 26. These venues possess a lot of history and tradition, especially when it comes to UK horse racing, and it is not surprising that a lot of bet online interest is present.

Key Details

Fakenham

Fakenham has been a top destination for the National Hunt races since 1905. One of the highlight events at this course has to be the Fakenham Silver Cup. This is a Class 3 hurdle run in March. In terms of class alone, the Wendling Handicap Chase at 14:10 seems a perfect alternative for horse racing odds at this moment. Wings Attract has dominated this course and distance, but highly inconsistent form in the last few races could lead to Vicangelome being a better bet for success. The track is rated from good to soft, while the race itself is run over a distance of 3 miles and 38 yards. This makes it especially difficult to predict winners without horse racing tips.

Going is good to soft.

14:45 - LOUGH DERG FARMER won at Doncaster on January 9 and was fifth at Warwick on December 8. The 5-year-old bay gelding trained by N J Henderson moved from D P Murphy to N J Henderson during a 200-day break in 2016. Old Salt is his main contender.

15:20 - LORD LANDEN is a staggering 12-year-old brown gelding who was fourth at Leicester on January 12 and shows an incredible form. He was third at Warwick on December 8 and even though he hasn't delivered results (victories), we trust him.

Southwell

Southwell once again confirms the busy nature of the course throughout the horse racing calendar campaign by hosting six events on January 26. The Fibresand track is one of the unique elements of this course, which is situated in Nottinghamshire. A 11 runner event over a distance of 1 mile is the 32red.com Handicap at 14:55. Horse racing betting tips are backing Vatican Hill for success even though the likes of Dream Team have achieved success earlier at Southwell over a similar distance. Vatican Hill has shown even better form.

Going is standard. 5f - none, 6f - low numbers are best.

14:20 - ENGLISHWOMAN is a 4-year-old bay filly with plenty of potential. Was fourth at Southwell on January 19 and won on January 10 at the same racecourse. Was third on January 2 at Southwell and fourth at Kempton on December 14. Ups and downs, but the overall form is up. Rocking Rudolph and Berlios are two other great runners that must be taken into account here.

14:55 - VATICAN HILL is a 3-year-old bay colt who won at Wolverhampton on January 20 and who also won at Lingfield on December 28. Penty of potential, and 2016 was a great year for him as well. We expect the same trend from now on.

Warwick

Previously a dual-purpose racing spot, Warwick is now hosting only National Hunt events. While the track has numerous highlight events, horse betting on January 26 will be highly involved with the Premier League Betting At 188bet Handicap Hurdle at 15:10. Moidore is a favourite but not by a significant margin. This will be Warwick’s only Class 3 event of the day.

Going is soft-heavy in places.

13:25 - DON BERSY is our choice here. The 4-year-old bay gelding won at Sandown on January 7. His main contender is Iconic Sky.

16:20 - ASYLO won at Chepstow on December 3, 2016. It's a risky bet, given that King of Realms and Potters Story are also two great runners.

Wolverhampton

Horse racing betting action at Wolverhampton takes place throughout the year. Even though most of the races belong to the lower classes, Wolverhampton has a strong arrival of top runners. The Betway Handicap looks to be the most promising event for the best odds at Wolverhampton today.

Going is standard. No advantage in the draw.

17:50 - BOYCHICK is a 4-year-old bay gelding trained by Ed Walker with an incredible victory at Wolverhampton on January 7. Had some other great results in August, 2016, and it's our favourite runner in this race.
