Leicester

A dual-purpose racecourse, Lester is involved in competitive horse racing throughout the calendar year. In terms of flat races, the highlight of this venue would be the King Richard III Stakes. In terms of jumping events, Leicestershire Silver Fox Handicap Chase would probably rank as the most important.

Grade 2 Charlie Hall Chase is the biggest event at this track, but January 24 interest will largely be upon the Totepool Medieval Day - Saturday 4th February Handicap Chase with Two Smokin Barrels a strong favourite among horse racing betting.

13:30 - GRIS DE PRON has shown a great level of form in hurdles in France, including a second place in April 2016 behind subsequent Grade 2 winner Bapaume. This should prove strong for his rivals on his UK debut with a first-time hood added to help him a bit to settle.
