Chepstow, Hexham, Newcastle, Newmarket, York Horse Racing Betting Tips - October 8

Jonathan Nixon

Newmarket racecourse hosts some top horse racing events on October 8 but the likes of Newcastle and Hexham are also involved today.

Horse racing is an extremely popular sport throughout the world, but it is especially more popular in the United Kingdom thanks to the presence of top race courses like Newcastle, Newmarket, Chepstow, and Hexham. Horse racing today will see these courses involved amongst others in Ireland.

Chepstow

Races like the totepool Silver Trophy Handicap Hurdle and totequadpot Novices' Chase are expected to be watched in close quarters by punters. Even though they may have the assistance of experience, these top of the line events need more help which may arrive in the form of horse racing betting tips. Chepstow has always been an iconic course with its left-handed and undulating track aiding in some great racing.

Going is good to soft-good in places.

14:40 - MORNING HERALD was 2nd out of 4 runners at Ludlow yesterday and won two races this year. It's definitely one of the best choices here.

Hexham

Hexham racecourse consists of only one event under 2 miles in length on October 8. The track is rated between good to soft, but it should not pose any trouble for some perfect racing according to horse racing tips. Intu Eldon Square Fabulous At 40 Handicap Hurdle at 16:05 is expected to be the most popular. Five In A Row managed to come out successful in this race back in 2015. It remains to be seen if the best odds will be useful in predicting a winner in 2016.

Going is good-good to soft in places.

17:10 - MICKLEGATE RUN is the best choice here in our opinion. He won at Hexham on June 13 and at Kelso in May. Had a worse day on July 4 but we believe it will come back with much strength.

MR MONOCHROME is coming back to race and is his main contender. He had a few great starts this summer, including the win at Hexham on June 4, and runner-up at Market Rasen on June 17.

Newcastle

Newcastle racecourse always brings great memories to older fans because of its immense history. Punters who bet online will also be watching races like the CCF Handicap with a close eye. Flymetothestars is the favourite to win the event at 7/2 while Rasmee is also given close odds at 4/1 for this event.

Going is standard, no draw advantage for the All-Weather track

18:45 - HIGHLAND LOTUS won at Wolverhampton on September 12, and even if its a Class 5 runner, he showed plenty of potential this summer.

Newmarket

The pick of October 8 horse racing betting is likely to be concerned with Newmarket racecourse. The events like Dubai Dewhurst Stakes (Group 1) will see only the best horses taking part. Churchill is rated as favourite for this event at 8/11, but there is quite a gap in terms of competition. South Seas is rated at a distant 6/1 for a win.

13:45 - GRAVITY FLOW won every race in which participated since June 18. The last one was at Salisbury on September 1, and even though this is a Class 1 race with more experienced runners, this is a great choice. PIXELEEN and DYNAMIC GIRL deserve some respect.

Going is good to firm-good in places, and the draw advantage is correlated with the position of the stalls.

York

York is a leading flat racecourse in the country, being left handed. It's a fair track, great for the long-striding galloper. When conditions are testing, the field tends to come more down the centre of the track. Going is good to firm-good in places. Note that low numbers are usually better on the straight track, mostly when the track is soft.

14:00 - MITHQAAL won at Newmarket on September 23 and is in great shape. Even though he took a 63-day break since July, he saw some results in the summer, winning at Yarmouth on June 30 and finishing 3rd at Doncaster on June 3. Deserves respect.
