One of the best meetings of the month, the Cheltenham Trials Meeting takes place on Saturday, and it looks like we are going to have some very good horses taking to the track. While many of the big guns often choose to swerve this meeting now, as they don’t want to run twice at Cheltenham in less than two months, many good horses still arrive to take part in the good races we have on offer. Let’s see what horse to bet on in our Cheltenham Trials Meeting horse racing tips.

On the face of it, it is a little disappointing that none of the big Gold Cup contenders are arriving for this race, although it is understandable for the trainers to want to avoid two tough runs around Cheltenham. The horse of interest here is Tea For Two who ran a nice race in the King George. This drop in class will suit him, as will the tougher test that Cheltenham brings. With that in mind, he looks to have a good chance of going close in our Cheltenham Trials Meeting tips. He is now a nine-year-old, but many of his rivals are also old so that doesn’t put us off. This race lacks a bit of quality but that gives Tea For Two a great chance of landing the race, before presumably a tilt at the Cheltenham Gold Cup. Look out for the early horse racing odds because he will be a popular pick.
Claimantakinforgan puts his Cheltenham Festival credentials on the line here, and a win will certainly see him move towards favouritism for at least one race at the festival. The Ballymore Novices’ Hurdle looks to be his main target, and assuming he wins and handles this trip ok, that is where he will go. He has won two from two over hurdles so far, including a Grade 2 race last time out, that’s why we picked him for our racing tips for Cheltenham Trials Meeting. That gives him a 5lb penalty to carry for this race, but from what we have seen so far, he looks capable of defying that penalty. This race will be very informative as many horses will be looking towards the Festival, but Claimantakinforgan is a horse bet of the day, and he can take this contest. Plus, the latest horse racing betting odds are great for this race at William Hill, which also offer a stunning Welcome Package.
Wholestone is a horse that loves the Cheltenham racecourse, and he has recorded wins both over this distance and shorter in the past here. He loves the challenge of coming up the hill, and while he may fall just short of top class this season, this type of race looks well within his reach. A win here would book his place in the Stayers Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival. The opposition looks thin on the ground for Wholestone, and he looks prime to take advantage of that and pick up this slightly lower grade race, before going back up in grade at the festival. We hope our tips for Cheltenham today were helpful!
