Burnley vs Tottenham Hotspur Preview, Prediction and Betting Tips: Tottenham to be pushed all the way by tough trip to Burnley fortress Turf Moor

EVENT ENDED!

Tottenham will be looking over their shoulder in second place, given that Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City are just two points off their tail in third, but Burnley will have their own agenda this weekend.

Match Preview

Sean Dyche’s men have been brilliant at home in the Premier League, losing just three times and winning nine of their first 14 clashes at Turf Moor. If the table was based on home form alone, Burnley would be sixth.

    - Hull City 1-1 Burnley
    - Swansea 3-2 Burnley
    - Liverpool 2-1 Burnley
    - Sunderland 0-0 Burnley

The hosts’ last four top-flight matches have been away from home, and Burnley haven’t necessarily been outclassed, despite their terrible form on the road. Liverpool needed a late Emre Can strike to beat the Clarets at Anfield.

Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs have only lost three matches on the road this season, scoring 20 goals in 13 trips away from White Hart Lane. Dele Alli has been in fantastic form, but the visitors will have to do without the injured Harry Kane.

    - Liverpool 2-0 Tottenham
    - Tottenham 4-0 Stoke
    - Tottenham 3-2 Everton
    - Tottenham 2-1 Southampton

Burnley vs Tottenham Prediction and Betting Advice

Burnley have no fresh injury concerns for the weekend, but Spurs could struggle to name an orthodox striker due to Vincent Janssen suffering from flu recently. Alli could be asked to lead the line for the away side.

Burnley have been excellent at home and will be targeting getting back on track after a long spell away from playing at Turf Moor. Spurs might suffer slightly in Kane’s absence, which could see the Clarets prove too tough to break down yet again.
