Paul Lambert’s men find themselves safe from relegation from the Championship with two games to spare, but Huddersfield would not be wise to underestimate Wolves’ form at Molineux.
The hosts have lost just one of their last five league contest in Wolverhampton, with that sole loss coming against Brighton as Chris Hughton’s men battled to confirm their promotion to the Premier League.
In their last two home matches, however, Wolves have fired a blank. Both Brighton and struggling Blackburn Rovers escaped unscathed, due to a possible lack of intensity so close to the end of the season.
Huddersfield’s form has become very inconsistent indeed in recent weeks and months, with David Wagner’s men dropping as low as fifth in the table of late. They need a win to secure a play-off spot.
The home form should be enough to ensure that Wolves are a tough nut to crack, but it remains to be seen which version of Huddersfield turn up. They have managed two wins from their last seven games.
The visitors haven’t kept a clean sheet in their last four games, with Wolves able to make things potentially quite nervy for the Terriers heading into the league season’s final weekend.
