Carlisle and Southwell will be hosting the major horse racing action on December 11, and they are likely to see a significant horse racing betting related interest.
Horse racing action on December 11 is scheduled at only two major courses in England – Carlisle and Southwell. Still, it makes sense to be involved in the horse betting action since these two courses are renowned for hosting top races.
A racecourse that has been involved in horse racing action since 1904, Carlisle hosts both flat and jump races. Colin Parker Memorial Chase is regarded as the pinnacle of the events at Carlisle. Hosted in November, it sees the most number of horse racing betting tips concerning this racecourse. After having moved past this event for 2016, it is time to focus on races like the Pertemps Network Handicap Hurdle at 14:10.
Kaki De La Pree and Lough Derg Walk are the favourites to win this race according to the best odds. Other races of considerable quality on December 11 are the Edmundson Electrical Handicap Chase and Carlisle Annual Members Chase. As the track is rated as soft, with chase courses being rated at soft to good, the events are in expected to guarantee top racing action.
Going is soft-good to soft in places on chase course.
12:00 - COMPADRE (odds 11/4) - Very promising, he was 6th on hurdles debut last month at Chepstow (16f, good to soft). Better expected here. Wears the first-time hood. Bubsy Burbridge also ran extremely well on his hurdling bow and looks to be the main danger. Starplex is next best.
12:30 - HALCYON DAYS (odds 9/4) has been running consistently well and added much to the tally in great style at Hexham on Wednesday. It must be said that he gets the nod under a penalty, with Ryalex 2 and Freddies Portrait of the likelier threats making their chase debut.
13:35 - WEST OF THE EDGE (odds 3/1) made a great start for this yard at Wetherby in November and the magnitude of that success definitely shows he has way more to offer. Ballyben is to be feared here, and Danimix is also respected having slipped to a super dangerous mark.
Southwell is extremely busy throughout the year hosting races of varied classes and types. This spread of events makes it a popular course to find excellent bet online opportunities. Interest on December 11 will primarily be upon the Thoroughbred Breeders Association Mares' Handicap Hurdle at 14:25. A 15 runner strong event, Midtech Valentine comes into the race with excellent form after having won three out of the last five races. While being the favourite according to the horse racing tips, horses like Late Night Lily and May Hay should not be overlooked.
The track at Southwell is unique in terms of its surface. It makes it extremely hard to predict potential winners without resorting to the horses that are backed heavily in the horse racing odds.
Looking beyond the Class 3 event, Southwell is primarily hosting only Class 4 and 5 events today. Among these, an important chase event would be the Serena Gabriella Cruz Hill Handicap Chase at 12:45. Horse racing betting is likely to see a lot of interest in Global Dream for this event.
Going is good-good to soft in places.
12:15 - MIDNIGHT JADE (odds 7/2) won at Southwell on November 29, showing a spectacular form there. He was also fourth at Warwick on November 12. The 226-day break period seems to have offered good benefits to Midnight Jade. The Jugopolist has the best odds here (3/1), but we maintain our position.
14:25 - LATE NIGHT LILLY had a stunning fall. She won at Market Rasen on September 24 and at Huntingdon on October 30. It might seem a light race given the number of participants (five), but it's not. Midtech Valentine should be feared here.
