Ascot, Fontwell, Hexham, Newcastle - Horse Racing Tips for September 30

Jonathan Nixon

Ascot is one of the prestigious courses hosting events on September 30, while Newcastle, Fontwell, and Hexham are also involved.

Even though the flat racing season is coming to an end, the involvement of prestigious racecourses has certainly not stopped. As part of horse racing today, Ascot and Newcastle are some of the top racecourses involved in the action. Fontwell and Hexham also host events on September 30.

Ascot

One of the premier destinations when it comes to worldwide horseracing, it is a welcome sight to see Ascot part of the September 30 action. As always, Ascot provides an opportunity even for bet online punters to witness some of the best thoroughbreds in action. Londonmetric Noel Murless Stakes and Original Harrogate Water Handicap are clearly the standout events offering prize money in the region of £20,000 and £18,000 respectively.

The track is rated at good to soft in places, but it is expected to be generally fine for racing action.

Going is good-good to firm in places, and there is no significant advantage.

ARLECCHINO'S LEAP (14:00) is not the greatest horse of all time, but he's seen a lot of improvement lately and we believe it can get a podium. He won the last race at Wolverhampton on August 25.

CRICKLEWOOD GREEN (14:00 - in the same race) is also a great choice. He's won two of the last three races and who knows... maybe he is aiming for a winning streak.

Fontwell

Each racing day sees a course play host to much longer events, and it is the turn of Fontwell racecourse to take on the mantle. Horse racing tips are likely to focus on the Fuller's London Pride Handicap Chase event at 16:00. Offering a prize money of just over £11,000 for the two-run event, Fontwell will guarantee a good surface for racing. Even though the course is primarily known for its National Hunt events, it can also stage flat races without any issues on its figure of eight circuits.

Going is good, no draw advantage information available.

SHANTOU VILLAGE (at 14:50) is a great choice. He's had a few breaks in the past two years, but he's always won. He won pretty much everything in 2014 and 2015 and lost at the beginning of this year, but still got a 2/8 position at Cheltenham on Jan 16. He came back after a 160-day break on August 25 and won. All we can hope for is that he will win again.

Hexham

Featuring only events that are over 2 miles but less than 3 miles in length, Hexham racecourse may not witness the birth – according to betting tips – of a new star at events like the Youngs Rps Handicap Hurdle and Peter Henham Celebration Handicap Chase as these are largely for three-year-old plus horses. Since the track conditions are rated as good, this historic racecourse with the steep climb to the finish should host some good action. It is also likely to be popular amongst horse racing betting.

Going is good, no draw advantage information available.

COTILLION (at 13:50) is in great shape. He won at Hamilton on September 24 and saw a few great wins at the beginning of the year (five in just two months).

MOUNTAINSIDE (at 15:35) is a horse with a 44.44% win rate in 9 runs. He won at Perth last time on August 20th.

Newcastle

One of the historic racecourses in the United Kingdom, Newcastle has always been hosting top places and the one on September 30 is no different. The best odds are likely to be available for the events like ‘at vertemam Follow Us On Twitter Fillies' Handicap’ as the track is rated as standard.

No information available for the All-Weather track, and the going is good.

APROVADO (at 20:50) has much potential. We're talking about a race with quite mediocre runners, but this one is prone to something big. Was 2nd out of 10 runners at Ayr on August 8th, and won on September 4th at Redcar. 4 out of 12 at Carlisle on September 12nd.
