Hero World Challenge odds

Hero World Challenge odds"

The host of the second year running of the Hero World Challenge is the Albany course in the Bahamas. As one of the best golfers ever decided to return to this tournament, this adds some jazz to it this year. Tiger Woods informed about his return to his own tournament after more than a year of absence. Nearly all mass media spoke about the decision of a 40-year sportsman to come back, but no one really knows about his capability now. In our opinion, his plans are to win before the final retirement. He has always been among the best and may surprise us this week.

But it is worth noting that the Albany course has five par 5s that should be scored to complete. And this par 5s will put pressure on his short game near the greens. So this is a chance to see how far Woods has come. Before he left, his short game was nothing short of outrageous. That is why it will be interesting to see. This is going to be a good place for Tiger to start.

Other candidates

The course in Albany is a manufactured links type course. So it gives the possibility to players to bash the birdie door down all the week. Thanks to his long game the previous year, Bubba succeeded to climb to 25 under par and win. This year he has a really good price of 18/1. We do not persuade you not to bet, but it seems to us that he requires a lot to go his way with the putter to succeed and we do not hope he will manage to hole many putts as he did it previously. Dustin Johnson has the price of 5/1, which is rather fair. He has enough skills to win, but we doubt that he is well motivated for the victory, as it became evident a month ago.

Jordan Spieth and Emiliano Grillo

The player that attracted our attention is Jordan Spieth, who won in Australia two weeks ago. His putting was rather clutched and he demonstrated this in a final couple of holes. So such a form is difficult to beat. He entered the playoff with two great up and downs on 17 and 18. At the play off, he holed a 14 footer to take victory home. He was the 4th here in the Bahamas last year with 20 under par, but he was able to show better results. At that time there were doubts about his putter that started to surround him, which led to some missed chances during the upcoming months. We believe that this year everything would be different and Spieth comes with a hot putter. The victory in Australia should make him more confident. We think that Mastuyama should practice his short game to succeed at 20 under plus and Stenson too. For us, Spieth is the favourite of this tournament.

The second golfer worth our attention is Emiliano Grillo. His latest records are 10-26-17-11-10. He is in a good form but the handicapper has probably underestimated him. Grillo has just missed two cuts during 14 months, so his chances to add to his PGA a new title are rather high.
