Atletico Madrid have been in brilliant form of late, keeping plenty of clean sheets and shooting into third place in LaLiga, but Osasuna have similarly seen their form spike.
The visitors are cut adrift at the foot of LaLiga’s table, but the Basque club have picked up back-to-back wins against Leganes and Alaves recently, which will have given them a huge confidence boost.
A goal in the last five minutes against rivals Real Madrid ensured that Atletico drew their recent league derby 1-1, before navigating a dangerous Champions League leg against Leicester with a win.
Diego Simeone’s side have kept clean sheets in three of their last four games, but a need to rotate to keep players fresh could open the door to the possibility of Osasuna causing problems.
Osasuna have only picked up two away wins throughout the entire campaign, with a trip to Estadio Vicente Calderon unlikely to bear fruit. Atletico will be without Koke due to a ban, however.
Even with Simeone rotating to keep his players fresh for the Champions League, Atletico should have more than enough quality to see off a spirited Osasuna outfit this weekend.
