Hoffenheim are the biggest and most pleasant surprise in the Bundesliga this season, on the verge of qualifying for the Champions League for the first time in club history. Hoffenheim are third in the table with an eight-point gap from Hertha Berlin in fifth place. They are unbeaten at home, and won all of their home matches in 2017 so far, including the 1-0 triumph over Bayern Munich two weeks ago. Borussia Monchengladbach are eighth, still with a decent chance of qualifying for Europa League. Borussia Monchengladbach won their last two fixtures and play an attractive blend of attacking football, which should make this game quite pleasing.
The odds on Hoffenheim (2.05) look very tempting, given their excellent form and especially their perfect home record. Hoffenheim are facing very decent opposition in Borussia Monchengladbach, and the result is far from certain, but the home team are still clear favourites, and the odds are too high because Hoffenheim are still underrated.
It should also be noticed that the first half in most of the games of both teams, Hoffenheim and Borussia Monchengladbach, ended in draws in 2017. The odds on the draw at half-time (2.30) are very good indeed.
