Preview of the 2017 Isle Of Man TT – One of the Dangerous Motorsports

Isle of Man TT is a motorcycle event that takes place annually at the Isle of Man. The race was inaugurated in 1907. Barring only a few years, the event has been held each year on public roads, which are closed specifically for this event. The use of public roads means that the race is often on narrow roads with tight turns, which are negotiated at extremely high speeds. This makes this event as one of the most dangerous motorsports in the world.

Joey Dunlop is the most successful racer at this event after having won the title an incredible 26 times. He is closely followed by John McGuinness with 23 wins. The event is widely known for its fatalities with a huge 246 fatalities reported between 1907 and 2015. Even as recently as in 2016, five riders lost their lives during practice or the actual races.
