Sweden is rich in golf talents. When we talk about the best golfer in this country, we first of all call Henrik Stenson. He performed at the European Tour in Surrey, showed good golf and shared the third place. The victory was won by his compatriot Alex Noren, who won the fifth title in less than a year.

In the final round of the BMW PGA Championship tournament, Alex Noren once again demonstrated a great game form, which allowed the Swedish golfer to win four wins last season. In 18 holes before the finish, Alex lagged behind the first place with seven hits, but managed to give out "probably the best round in his life," repeating his personal record and updating the record of the Wentworth golf club.
During his impeccable performance, Noren collected eight birdies, crowning the round with an eagle on the final hole. The 13th World Ranking number finished at 277 (-11) and was forced to watch how the pursuers unsuccessfully tried to overtake him for the next two hours. The Italian Francesco Molinari, who performed two birdies at the very end, was more successful than the others in this race, but he hasn’t managed to reach a double-digit minus. The victory in the first stage of the Rolex Series brought Noren the ninth title in European Tour, allowing to move to the fourth place in the overall Race to Dubai.
"My putting was better than ever. I was fine, but I did not expect anything of the kind," Alex said.
The unexpected leader on Saturday was Andrew Dodt. He started with 70 strikes in two rounds, but in the third round, when many golfers acted unsuccessfully, the Australian managed to pass the field with 68 rounds. This is an excellent result - only one golfer played even better that day.
But he could not show his best golf. After the bogey on the first hole, he made two birdies, but on the second nine allowed two more bogeys and a double. He managed to finish the tournament beautifully thanks to two birdies, but could not rise higher than the sixth place.
Brilliantly started Stenson, who on the first seven holes recorded four circles in his card. The second half of the round was followed by inaccuracies, because of which he became the third at the mark of 280 (-8) and shared this position with Japanese Hideto Tanihara and Belgian Nicolas Colsaerts, who produced a spectacular round including six birdies and two eagles.
The title was won by Noren in a very beautiful style. Like Stenson, he performed four birdies in the opening, and then, unlike Henrik, did not slow down. Moreover, on the 18th hole he succeeded in the eagle, which brought him victory. Note that on Saturday on this hole he made a double, and on Sunday he went through with just three hits, and with a margin of two points won the title. 62 is an excellent result and the best for the whole week. Moreover, this is a repetition of his best round for his career in the European Tour.
"This is an amazing and crazy experience. This morning I did not expect that I would claim a victory. I did not even think about it when I left the field quite angry on Saturday. I spent a good round, but on the 18th I sent the ball into the water. Now I'm very pleased, but the sensations are really unrealistic," said the champion.
