Nottingham Forest are in a very serious danger of going down, just one point ahead of Blackburn who are in relegation zone. Nottingham Forest desperately need points after only winning twice in the last 13 matches, and there is absolutely no room for mistakes. Reading, the biggest surprise in the Championship under Jaap Stam, are third in the table, close to secure the playoffs spot. Reading managed to achieve positive results lately, but the level of their game is not always high – they had trouble beating rock bottom Rotherham and were thrashed 7-1 by Norwich City.
It is crystal clear that Nottingham Forest need the result much more than Reading, but the question is whether they are capable of achieving it. Bizarrely, Nottingham Forest seem to be playing better against top opponents, as their only two wins in the last two months were achieved against high flying Brighton and Huddersfield. Reading certainly fall into that category, and the odds on Nottingham Forest win are not too bad at 2.37, even though it's a huge gamble. It should also be noticed that Nottingham Forest are usually involved in low scoring matches ever since Mark Warburton was appointed as manager, and the odds on under 2.5 goals are tempting at 2.00.
